Throughout the years, Fiberweb has made substantial investments to ensure our production processes & technologies remain on the forefront of advances in the nonwoven industry. These investments have led to the creation of several new technologies, including Reemay® and Typar®. Powered by Reemay and Typar research, Technical Nonwovens (TNW) is a showcase of Fiberweb’s commitment to nonwoven research and development.
- Reemay technology: improved filtration efficiency, improved web-flatness & stiffness (when calendered), stronger fabrics per unit weight, better perceived uniformity, improved air flow, coated fabrics perform better
- Typar technology: enables customizing X-Y fiber orientation, very stiff and strong fabric, fine and multi-denier capable, improved fiber diameter consistency, trilobal capable, improved air flow
- Air Bonding & Flat Bonding technology: provides a flat & stiff substrate without points that limit filtration, produces stiff, lightweight fabrics with very good pleat-ability
- Homopolymer and Copolymer technology: enables lighter weight fabrics without point bond, Copolymer assists in heat sealing of fabric
